Texstudio autocomplete8/23/2023 Is it possible to get TexStudio to behave this way? As far I as I can tell, this is how it works in TexMaker. If I want autocomplete to change \docu to \documentclass, I'd rather have it require that I hit an arrow key or manually select it from the tooltip in order trigger the autocomplete. The trouble is that the trigger is removed immediately after it is written so that the script. That is, the trigger a should produce alpha, the trigger b should give beta in the editor, and so on. TeXstudio has taken up completion word lists from Kile which extended the number of known commands for completion considerably. I wanted to input the command rightarrow in Texstudio, so I just typed righta and then Textstudio gave me two suggestions rightarrow and rightarrowtail. I installed the older version (2.12.6) on my personal machine and, to my surprise, I still have the lagging. I think the issue is there, but since it is a faster machine, at least it autocompletes faster than I type, but the lag is noticeable. I installed a newer version on the work machine (2.12.16). I am currently using Texstudio 2.12.22 on my macOS Catalina 10.15.3, I wonder how I can enable the auto-complete for every word I have typed in in the file edit on 2020.3. I realised that I do not get this problem on my work machine. Today I decided to try various things and here's what I found out. I have endured the same issue for some time and definitely know that it wasn't always like this. bib in the same folder as the main tex document. To support using acronyms, I use the acronym package. Im using TeXstudio 3.1.1 (git 3.1.1) on Windows 10 to write a TeX document with BibLaTeX bibliography. So I guess there is a flaw somewhere in the software. TeXStudio version and reproduction: as in the original post, example: I also run Texstudio on my laptop with the exact same settings working on the same document, where the autocomplete works just fine. Work machine: Windows 10 Pro, i7-3770 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM Home machine: Windows 10 Pro i7-8650U 1.9GHz, 8.00 GB RAM, SSD TL DR: The portable version worked for me.
